Clinician:

Anna Pineda, MS, Licensed Psychological Associate with Independent Practice

Ms. Pineda is a bilingual professional that has 15 years experience in psychological test administration. She has been licensed from the state of Texas since 2007 and has developed her clinical skill set during her professional career. She obtained her Honors Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Masters of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling Psychology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas.

Her drive to help others was the motive for pursuing psychological studies. She was supported and encouraged by her parents to continue her education. She drew upon her strength and cultural background to view psychology in a different light and made a path for herself in graduate school by developing a multicultural clinical rotation at a community health clinic in Dallas. Along with support from diverse mentors and female supervisors in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, she published her Master's thesis in an American Psychological Association (APA) journal.

She relocated to the central Texas area and was fortunate to be a member of a nationally-funded research study prior to joining the neuropsychology department at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center. Several years later, she became a lead psychometrist and eventually presented at national neuropsychological conferences. She transitioned to a local intellectual and developmental disability authority and was an independent clinician which renewed her interest in psychological reports. She also collaborates with a psychologist on cases and is open to contract psychological services (assessment and neuropsychological psychometrist work.)

By nature, Ms. Pineda is a problem solver and wants to continuously make the world a better place. When not engaged in clinical work, she enjoys the company of her family and little dogs. Her hobby of cultural dance developed into a secondary professional venture and non-profit.
